Martha L. Mason, 92, passed away August 20, 2017.

Martha was born March 5, 1925, in Topeka, Kan., to James Earl Williamson and Exene Owens Williamson. She graduated from Kansas State University and Avila University. Martha was a teacher for over 30 years in Independence, Mo.

Survivors include her son, Edward R. Mason; son, James H. Mason; son, Lon E. Mason; son, Dan E. Mason and his wife, Patricia; 7 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will begin at 10:30 a.m., with services at 11:30 a.m., on Thursday, Aug. 24, at Park Lawn Funeral Home, 8251 Hillcrest Road; 816-523-1234. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
