Abigail (Hartwell) Wyman, first wife of Deacon Samuel Wyman, married December 30, 1742; daughter of Deacon Joseph and Ruhamah (Cutter) Hartwell. Deacon Samuel Wyman, her husband, was a prominent Revolutionary patriot and civil magistrate of Woburn, where he was born April 4, 1717, and died June 14, 1787. He was the son of Ensign Samuel and Susanna (Simonds) Wyman; chosen deacon of Woburn Church, 1764, to which he and his wife, Abigail, where admitted to membership, August 29, 1756; selectman of Woburn, 1766, 1768, 1769, 1770-75, 1780, etc.; treasurer, 1775, 1776; representative to Provincial Congress, 1774, 1775, 1776, 1777, etc, etc. December 12, 1777, he married Mary Green, widow, being the third of her four husbands.
