Adelle Davis Wilcox Atkins, 83, died March 5, 2007, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle. Services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Gunter and Peel Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Kenny Gardner officiating and the Rev. Linda Shelton assisting. Burial will follow at Forest Cemetery in Ethelsville, Ala. Visitation will be Wednesday from noon until 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Atkins was born May 6, 1923, in Fayette County, Ala., to the late Wilburn and Daisy Pinion Davis. She worked for many years as a sales associate at the Fashion Barn. She was also a cake decorator. She was a Methodist. She was preceded in death by her sister, Martha Elizabeth Busillo. She is survived by a number of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Bobby Dove, Lee Younger, Craig Sansing, Sam Phillips, Bobby Suggs and Bill Herring.
