BANCROFT, IDAHO - Charles Calvin Grant, 71, Bancroft, died February 23, 1977 in a Soda Springs hospital of a short illness.
Born August 9, 1905 in Chesterfield, Idaho to Charles A. and Elizabeth Ann Williams Grant. Married Mabel Elizabeth Croney, April 18, 1930 at Pocatello. Marriage solemnized in Idaho Falls LDS Temple.
Attended schools in Chesterfield and Bancroft areas and was an outstanding athlete.. Member, Idaho State High School basketball team. Employed, Union Pacific Railroad as a section foreman in McCammon, Michaud, and American Falls, Idaho. Retired in 1971.
Active member, Bancroft Lions Club. Member, LDS Church, and served as elder's quorum president, and a high priest group leader.
Survivors: widow, Bancroft; two sons, Charles, Rexburg; Boyd, Twin Falls; seven grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Muir, Ogden, Utah; Mrs. Elnora Ruger, Soda Springs; Mrs. Grace Michelson, Bancroft. One son, Kendall, preceded in him in death.
Funeral services Saturday, 1 p.m. at Bancroft LDS Ward Chapel. Burial, Chesterfield, Idaho Cemetery.
