LEBANON Palma Lerlene Holtzinger, 83, died Thursday, March 1, 2007, at Lebanon VA Medical Center. A funeral service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Life Tributes by Olewiler and Heffner Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion. A viewing will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Red Lion Chapel. Burial will be in Red Lion Cemetery. Born October 31, 1923 in Red Lion, a daughter of the late George H. and Henrietta M. (Frey) Holtzinger. She was a 1943 graduate of Red Lion High School and earned her RN degree in 1946 from York Hospital School of Nursing. Miss Holtzinger was a U.S. Navy veteran having served as a Lieutenant JG naval nurse during the Korean War era. Miss Holtzinger is survived by a brother, Robert L. Holtzinger of Berlin, Md.; two sisters, Flo M. Ness of Dallastown and Norma K. Messman of York; and 21 nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers, G. Nevin Holtzinger and Zane Richard Holtzinger; and a sister, Ruth Cantrell.
