"Edward (Ned) H. Elliott, 82, of New Lisbon, died Sunday, May 6, at The Meadows, Cooperstown RD3, after a lengthy illness. He was born June 18, 1896, in New Lisbon, a son of William and Jennie (Hurlbutt) Elliott. He married Amelia May Garlick on October 30, 1920. She died July, 1976. Mr. Elliott had lived on the family farm until moving to Garrattsville and later to the Georgia Rest Home, Mt. Vision. He had been a well-known dairy and potato farmer, and had also served as a dealer in Agrico Fertilizer and as an agent for Unadilla Silos for many years. Surviving are a son, Donald Elliott, Garrattsville; a daughter, Maxine Kramer, Akron, Ohio; four grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. The funeral was at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 9, at the Johnston Funeral Home, Morris, with Rev. Roger Beach, pastor of the Gilbertsville and Garrattsville Presbyterian Churches, officiating.
