"Allie Drue Smith, age 97, of Jacinto, died Tuesday, February 20, 2007.
"She was born January 28, 1910 in the Eaglette Community in Dallas County to the late Burrell B. Shaddock and Minnie Locket Mann.
"She was a member of the Mt. Carmel and Mt. Olivet Methodist Churches.
"Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Clarence Smith; a daughter, Audrey Faye Smith; sons, Norris William Smith and Wallace Burrel 'Pluggy' Smith; siblings, Mattie Butler, Doyle Shaddock, Elizabeth 'Sook' Henderson, Maylene Shirron, Sadie Oliver Manning, Corrine Brown, Price Carlton 'Buck' Shaddock, Ruby Williams, Murray Shaddock and Luther Edmond Shaddock; grandson, William Pryor Smith and a great-granddaughter, Brandy Wallace.
"Survivors inclue a sister, Lyndell Clemmons and grandchildren, Mellissa Bandy and husband, Larry; Mark Smith and wife, Carol; Anton Smith and wife, Cindy; Glen Smith, Janet Smith, Valene Jopling and husband Tom; Michelle Smith Torres, Eileen White and husband, Rex; a multitude of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
"Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, February 23, in the Benton Funeral Home in Fordyce with Rev. Larry Hudson officiating. Burial was in Mt. Olivet Cemetery near Holly Springs by Benton Funeral Home of Fordyce.
