George W. Allen, Jr. born in Mingo Co. West Virginia July 25, 1925. Married Helen Halcomb, and had two sons; Mark and Gary Allen. Preceded in death by his parents George W. Allen. Sr. & America Merky Scarberry Allen, and one sister Irene Allen Rife, four brothers Ernest, Bennie, Ireland, & Ulvert. Survived by three sisters Anna Jean, Patty & Betty; and one brother Bobby. George Allen, served in the US Army from 1942-63; saw extensive action during WWII in France & Germany in 1944-45. Hobbies were fishing, coin collections, and watching his sons play high school football. After a prolonged illness George passed away at Veterans Hospital in Nashville, Tn. on Oct. 12, 1985 at the age of 60.
