Joan Burdge, 79, of Cedar Glen West, Manchester Twp., passed away August 18, 2017. Joan spent many years working in the administration office at Ocean County Police Academy, Lakewood before retiring in 1995. Born in Long Branch, she resided in Freehold and Lakewood before moving to Manchester Twp. in 2005. Joan was a member of VFW Post 9521, Lakewood. She enjoyed her trips to Las Vegas and Atlantic City. Joan was predeceased by her husband, Bruce Burdge in 1994, her son, Robert D. Jones, Jr., in 2009, her daughter, Sheryl Rubino in 2015, her brother, John Bradham and her former husband, Robert D. Jones, Sr. in 2016. Joan is survived by her daughter, Robin D. Jones of Forked River, her son, Scott R. Jones and his wife, Kathleen of Jackson, 2 brothers, Lewis Bradham of FL., Larry Bradham of OK., 2 sisters, Lanie Bostjancic and her husband, Frank of Freehold, Patricia Curcio of Lakehurst, 14 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Interment 11am Friday August 25, 2017 at Evergreen Cemetery, Farmingdale., NJ. Arrangements by DeGraff Lakehurst Funeral Home, Lakehurst.
