Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon in Glant's Funeral Chapel for Mrs. Eva M. Bellman, of Lake Wawasee, who died at the LaGrange County Hospital at 11:15 p.m. August 18 after an illness of several months. Rev. John Hartman of Nappanee officiated in the service and burial was in the Bremen cemetery.
Before her marriage forty years ago to William Bellman July 15, 1914, Mrs. Bellman was Eva Abair. She was born at North Liberty Jan 28, 1886, the daughter of Joseph and Sophia (Durst) Abair. Surviving with the husband are two sons and two daughters, Elmer Bellman of Ligonier, Mrs. Pearl Knight of Ithaca, Mich., Mrs. Evelyn Warren of Mishawaka, and William Bellman, Jr., of Mishawaka. Another son, Russell, died last year.
Surviving also are one sister and five brothers: Mrs. Clarence Baker, Plymouth; Joseph Abair, Nile, Mich.; and Oscar, Lloyd, Clarence, and Russell Abair, all of Plymouth. There are seven grandchildren.
