"Vivian Louise Jacobe, lifelong resident of Sturgeon Bay, passed away at home, Tuesday morning, August 15, 2017. She made it to her 90th birthday, just as she hoped to.

Vivian was born April 28, 1927 to Dewey George Haskell and Louise Bertha (Diefenbach) Haskell. She attended school and initially went to work as a waitress at her uncle, Sam Haskell's restaurant in Fish Creek. She was united in marriage to David LeRoy Jacobe on June 15, 1946 in the rectory of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Vivian was employed with Milwaukee Shoe Factory in the late 1950s until the late 1960s. She finished her career at Emerson Motors after almost 10 years, retiring in 1989. Vivian and David shared over 37 years of marriage. He preceded her in death on August 23, 1983.

Vivian was also a lifelong member of St. Joseph Parish where she helped serve the funeral lunches. She enjoyed bowling at Worley's and later, Apple Valley. Vivian liked to exercise at the YMCA, especially with the Hearty Conditioning Class. She was always up for a good road trip, often times to Suzie's in Lincoln or Sweet Seasons in Dyckesville for a good chicken dinner. Vivian also enjoyed going to the Door County Senior Resource Center to share a meal.

Her love will live on in the hearts of her three daughters and one son, Rosemary (George) Maccaux, Nancy Demmin, both of Sturgeon Bay, Debra (Keith) Weitermann of Aurora, IL, John (Belinda) Jacobe of Brussels; daughter-in-law, Mary Jacobe of Green Bay; eleven grandchildren, John (Lisa Swanson), James (Heather), and Joseph Maccaux, Warren (Michelle) and Jennifer (Al Coyer) Demmin, Mackenzie and Savanna Weitermann, Preslie, Jaden, and Jonni Jacobe, and Todd Jacobe; nine great-grandchildren, David, Alex and Tara, Chloe, Collin, Cambria and Samantha, and Sawyer and Jordan; great-great-grandson, Evan; brother, James Haskell of Sturgeon Bay; and sister-in-law, Janet Haskell of Sturgeon Bay.

Vivian was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son and daughter, Dale and Barbara Jacobe; son-in-law, Russell Demmin; infant grandson, Wade Demmin; siblings, Bernice (Raymond) Whipple, Gladys (Harold) May, Eugene (Leandra) Haskell, Russell (Evelyn) Haskell, and Roger Haskell; and sister-in-law, Janice Haskell.

Her life will be honored with a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Sturgeon Bay with Fr. Anthony Birdsall as celebrant. Vivian will be laid to rest in St. Joseph Cemetery, beside her husband, David.

Family and friends may call at Huehns Funeral Home on Monday, August 21, 2017 from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. with the Rosary to be prayed to at 2:40 p.m. and a parish wake service to conclude the evening at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will continue at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Tuesday morning, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass."
