Forrest Butler, son of Orson and Margaret Butler, was born August 15, 1880 in the State of Illinois. He departed from this life on Friday, June 21, 1968 at the Howard County Community Hospital in St. Paul at the age of 87 years.

At an early age he moved with his parents to Columbus where he was reared and educated. He later attended a business college in Lincoln. On August 19, 1908 he was united in marriage to Grace Lewis at Columbus. The couple first lived at Genoa and in 1920 moved to the Cushing area where they resided on a farm. Mrs. Butler died on December 17, 1960. That that time he had lived at different intervals with his daughters at Omaha and Palmer, Nebraska.

He was a member of the Mother Church, The First Church of Christ Scientist, of Boston, Massachusetts.

He leaves to mourn his passing two daughters, Mrs. Laura Aschwege of Palmer and Mrs. Shirley M. Hill of Omaha; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Preceding him in death were his wife, a son, Merle, two sisters and three brothers.
