Annabelle Leona "Ann" (Stewart) Johnson passed away on January 13, 2006 in St. Louis, Missouri. Ann was born on April 24, 1916 to Francis Marquis and Anna Christine (Petersen) Stewart in Belden, Nebraska.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Johnson, her parents, and her brother Francis, Jr. She is survived by her dear brother, Carroll Stewart, of Lincoln, Nebraska, beloved cousins, nieces, nephews, stepchildren, and her caring friends and neighbors.

Ann became enchanted with Colorado while attending C.U. in Boulder in the 1930's and moved to Denver in 1942. She enjoyed outings with the Colorado Mountain Club. Ann worked as an accountant for the state of Colorado and retired in 1980. She served as a volunteer at the Denver Museum of Natural History for eight years.

She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, and the Daughters of the American Revolution.

Ann specified that her ashes be buried in Allen, Nebraska between her parents and in the company of her pioneer forebears.
