Geneva Sue Anderson, age 78, died Wednesday, August 16, 2017 in McAlester. Geneva was born on March 14, 1939 in Scipio to Bennie Lewis and Alta Lavada (Ogle) Ford, Sr. She grew up and lived in Pittsburg County all her life, with most of her adult life in McAlester. She worked as a cook at Emerson School, Jefferson School, Mitchell Manor N.H. and OSP. She was married to Charles Anderson and he preceded her in death. She later married Carl Anderson on Dec. 18, 1976 in Las Vegas and he also preceded her in death in 2001. Her favorite activity was spending time with her children, grandchildren, great and great great grandchildren and all her family. She was a member of the First Free Will Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; 2 sons, Bennie Charles Anderson and Carl Eugene Anderson; a brother, Walter Paul Ford; 3 sisters, Freda Louise Hampton, Betty Jean Ellison and Lillian Carolyn Key. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Brumley-Mills Funeral Chapel with the Reverend Fred Morrison officiating. Burial will follow at Hugh Low Cemetery.
