Jackie Lee Akin, 66 passed away August 17, 2017. Loving father and PeePaw. He was born to Dan and Viola aka Bobbie Akin on January 15, 1951 in OKC. He was a carpet salesman and a member of the Bethany First Church of the Nazarene. He was married to Janet K Whittaker. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dan and Bobbie Akin; sisters, Helen and Betty; his brothers, Kenneth and Jerry; his daughter, Jaycee and wife Jann. He is survived by his daughter, Jami DeBusk and husband Ronald, grandchildren, Trey, Aden, and LaneLea, OKC; youngest daughter, Jordan Gruenberg and husband Brock, granddaughters, Kaylynn and Davee, Mustang; brother, Harold Akin, OKC and many other family and friends. He loved his children, grandchildren, family, and softball/football community. He will be deeply missed by all who heard his loud voice. Viewing will be held Sunday, August 20, 2017 11:00am-9:00pm with family present for visitation from 4:00-6:00pm. Services will be held in Mercer-Adams Chapel at 10:00am, Monday, August 21, 2017.
