James E. Murphy, 47, of 357 Highland Ave., S. Norwalk, Conn., husband of the former Eleanore Muehlbauer of Sheboygan, died Saturday following an operation in a New York City hospital. Since his marriage almost 20 years ago to the daughter of the late Louis and Katherine Muehlbauer, he had practiced law in Washington, D.C., in Connecticut and in New York City. Survivors are the widow; three children, James Jr., Maryanna and Katherine, at home, and two brothers, Francis and John Murphy. The body is in state at the Collins Funeral Home in South Norwalk. Funeral services will be held Tuesday with interment in St. John's Catholic Cemetery following a requiem high mass.
