Snap was born and raised in Salem NJ, the son of the late Charles V. Banks Sr. and Georgeanna Henderson Banks. He served honorably in the US Army during WWII and fought in the Philippines. He was a former Salem City Police Officer and performed Security for the Salem City Schools. Following his retirement, he drove school buses for BR Williams.
Snap is survived by his son Charles V. Banks III (Nora) of Chadds Ford PA, and daughter Judith Banks Mullica of Quinton NJ; granddaughter Georgeanna Banks (Chris) of Mullica Hill NJ, grandsons Harry C. Mullica Jr. (Jennifer) of Woodstown NJ, Jeremiah Mullica of Quinton NJ, and Jason Banks (Kim) of Del Haven NJ; great-granddaughters Corynne Mullica of Woodstown NJ, Eleanor Race of Mullica Hill NJ, great-grandson Benjamin Banks of Del Haven NJ, and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his wife Jacquelyn Schaffer Banks, daughters Carol Ann Banks and Pamela Sue Banks, son-in-law Harry C. Mullica Sr., brother Milton (Vicky) Banks, sisters Vera (Ed) Allen, and Doris (Gene) Frye.
Services will be private.
