Ruth Pflum
LANCASTER - Ruth Pflum, 87, of Lancaster, died Saturday at Fort Logan Hospital. Born Jan. 19, 1917, in Vanberg, S.C., she was the daughter of Albert G. and Jerilee Sandifer Hicks. She was a secretary in Garrard County for more than 10 years and a homemaker. She was a member of Lancaster Baptist Church. She was the widow of Chris T. Pflum. Survivors include two sons, Chris Pflum of Las Vegas, Nev., and Bob Pflum of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; and a brother, Virgil Hicks of Hilton Head, S.C. Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Spurlin Funeral Home by the Rev. Bob Copping. Burial will be in Lancaster Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
