Grace Elizabeth Renshaw, age 87 of Athens and Cadillac, MI, fell asleep in Jesus Friday, August 1, 2008 at her home in Cadillac.

Grace was born in Buchannan, MI to Nancy and Barton Armantrout. She was preceded in death by her husband Albert of 40 years on January 29, 1980, her parents, brother Junior and sisters Mary and Ruth. Grace is survived by her son Dr. Harland W. (Susan) Renshaw of Athens and daughters Sharon A. (Clint) Sheppler of Burr Ridge, IL and Ida May (Bill) Salisbury of Cadillac, MI. Albert and Grace were foster parents for more than 30 years with many foster sons and daughters. Also surviving are brothers Dr. Jim Armantrout of Georgia, Paul Armantrout of Texas; a sister Joan (Emmet) Hanna of Tennessee; grandchildren Chip (Laura) Sheppler, Craig Sheppler, Heather (Jeff) West, Albert Renshaw, Harland Renshaw Jr., Azure Rose Grace Salisbury, Zechariah Salisbury and Luke Salisbury; and 5 great grandsons Ricky, Russell, Ryan, Michael and Jesse,

Grace was a dairy farmers wife for over 40 years and a baker at the Battle Creek Sanitarium Hospital for over 15 years. After retiring she moved to Cadillac to live with her daughter. Her son owns the family farm in Athens. Grace was an active member of the Burlington Seventh Day Adventist Church and later a member of the Cadillac SDA Church for more than 20 years.

Friends may call at the Spencer Family Funeral Home in Athens where the family will be present from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday, August 4, 2008. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, August 5 at 11:00 a.m. at the Funeral Home with Pastor Christian Martin officiating. Burial Morgan Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Michigan.
