Thelma Belles, of Marysville, went to be with the Lord on her 87th birthday March 1, 2007.
She was born March 1, 1920 in Rien Friesland, The Netherlands to Walter and Etta Vandermeer. Her family moved to Everett in 1936. She moved to Marysville in the 1970's to be close to her sons and their families.
She enjoyed gardening, her flowers and working in the yard. Thelma especially loved spending time with her family and was very active in her church. She was a longtime member of Delta Community Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leo in 1992; brother, Raymond Vandermeer; and her parents.
Thelma was survived by her two sons, Ron (Kathy) Belles and Don (Evelyn) Belles, all of Marysville; sister, Grace Howes of Everett, brother, Frank Vandermeer of Everett; 4 grandchildren, Randy (Tammy) Belles of Camano Island; Robert (April) Belles of Caldwell, Idaho; Tammy Belles of Marysville; Daniel (Malia) Belles of Stanwood; great grandson, Ryker.
Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, March 7, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. at Delta Community Baptist Church 16th and Pine in Everett.
Private Family Services at Cypress Lawn Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Delta Community Baptist Church – Building Fund.
