Heart Failure. Culbertson Man Expires While At Work In Hay Field

Culbertson, Aug. 23--Last Friday morning Mr. George Holstine, while at work at the Bedford ranch on the Upper Muddy, putting up hay, was stricken with heart failure and died. At the time of his death, he was holding a trip rope that was fastened to a broncho hitched to a mowing machine. Two men were immediately in his presence when he was stricken; others were near and came to them as soon as the alarm was given. Mr. Holstine was left lying until word was brought to town concerning the manner of death; afterward he was brought to town and buried in the Culbertson cemetery.

No relatives live in Montana and no one knew the wereabouts of any relative until late Saturday evening a letter was found in his trunk at the ranch which located a Mr. Lawrence Casselman of Richmond, Va. Later a brother was located in Oregon through a Mrs. Lawrence Haverly, of Glendive, who had known George Holstine since they were children. Mrs. Haverly came to Culbertson Tuesday and made known the brother's address.
