Robert Wayne Stroupe , the son of Ira and Julie Brady Stroupe , was born March 31 , 1937 in Ripley , Mississippi . He was employed at Tecumseh prior to his retirement . Following retirement he was a school bus driver for Lee county , Mississippi as well as a volunteer at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo , Mississippi . Robert Wayne Stroupe passed away on August 15 , 2017 at Green Meadows in Mt. Washington . He was preceded in death by his parents , his wife Ellen Stroupe , son Donald Ray " Donnie " Stroupe , stepson Jerry Putt , and sister Bertie Coleman . Robert Wayne Stroupe was survived by his daughters Darlene Elaine ( Mike ) Hanson , and Dolly Jean ( Chuck ) Smith , his sons David Wayne Stroupe and Douglas Leroy Stoupe , his stepdaughters Diane Kirkman and Lynn Hall , his step daughter-in-law Linda Putt , his sister Martha ( Tate ) Presley , 7 grandchildren , step grand children , and step great grandchildren .
