Born in Montclair, Mr. McNamara lived in the Culver Lake section of Frankford Township before moving to Bushkill in 2007. He was a scaffold builder for 35 years at Safety Scaffolds, which was a family-owned business.
The son of the late Catherine McNamara, Mr. McNamara is survived by his wife, Donna (Hansen) McNamara; two children, Michael Garwood of Bushkill and Amy Garwood of Boston, Mass.; his father, John J. McNamara Sr., of Culver Lake; three brothers, Kenneth McNamara and Michael McNamara, both of Frankford Township, and Thomas McNamara of Greenville, N.Y.; five sisters, Mary Thum of Culver Lake, Margaret Aull of Hampton Township, Nancy Stretch and Aleen Laprelle, both of Frankford Township, and Jodi Taylor of Buena, N.J.; his mother-in-law, Helen Hansen of Bushkill; and his brother-in-law, Michael Hansen of Brodheadsville, Pa.
Funeral services will begin at 8:45 a.m. on Tuesday at the Wood Funeral Home, 16 Main Street, Branchville, followed by a 9:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady Queen of Peace R.C. Church in Branchville.
