Carol Virginia Johnson Taylor, 83, passed away Aug. 11, 2017, at University of Utah Medical Center in Salt Lake City, Utah, after a courageous battle with a brain aneurysm. She was born July 2, 1934, in Shelley, Idaho, to Roy and Henrietta (Madsen) Johnson. She was raised and attended school in Shelley. She was married to the love of her life, John David Taylor, in Blackfoot, Idaho, on Feb. 6, 1953. They were married for 52 years before John passed away in 2005.

Carol helped her husband manage their welding, trucking and excavation business for many years while raising their seven children.

She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She was a humble Christian with a strong belief in her heavenly father. Carol was a gentle, caring and kind person, a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She was a very-hardworking homemaker and always kept a beautiful home. Her love of plants and flowers was evident in her well-kept yard. Carol was a wonderful cook and guests never left her home with an empty stomach. She was always available to help others through tough times and gave great direction and advice. Carol loved spending time with her family and friends especially spending time with her grandchildren watching them dancing and singing and being silly. They and many acquaintances will miss this wonderful woman.
