William Samuel “Sam” Adams, 88, of Carrollton, KY, died on Sunday, August 13, 2017 at the Signature Healthcare of Carrollton.

He was born September 26, 1928 in Carrollton, Carroll County, KY, the son of the late William Edward Adams and Gertrude Ann Clifton Adams. He was a retired Carpenter and Painter with the former Dayton Walther Company in Carrollton. He was a member of The Pentecostals of Carrollton.

He is survived by his wife, Dora Mae Fitzgerald Adams of Carrollton, KY, two sons, Tim Adams of Sanders, KY, and Michael Adams of Butler, KY, three step daughters, Marsha Harry of Lexington, KY, Bonnie Myers of Edinburg, IN, and Jo Ann McGriffin of Waipio, HI, two grandchildren, nine step grandchildren and twenty step great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers, Virgil, Charlie, Buford, Winford and Enlow Adms, two sisters, Beatrice Jackson and Virgie Sanders and one step grandson, Danny Johnson.

Burial will take place in the Vevay Cemetery in Vevay, IN
