A graveside service will be 11 a.m. Friday in Prospect Hill Cemetery. A procession will meet at the Pennsylvania Avenue entrance of the cemetery at 10:45 a.m. The LeRoy R. Leber Funeral Home Inc., 2290 School St., Shiloh, is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Hoofnagle was born Oct. 23, 1921, in West Manchester Township. He was the son of the late Grant N. and Mabel M. (Reachard) Hoofnagle.
He was a supervisor in the drafting department at York International, retiring in 1987 after 48 years of service. He was a member of Zion United Church of Christ in York, Shiloh American Legion 791 and Hawks Gunning Club of Pleasureville, and life member of West Manchester Veterans of Foreign Wars 7374. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.
Mr. Hoofnagle also is survived by two sons, Richard G. Hoofnagle Jr. of Lebanon and Scott L. Hoofnagle of Spring Grove; four grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; two great-granddaughters; and nieces and nephews.
Officiating at the service will be his pastor, the Rev. Robert L. Anderson.
