David Anthoney Clark was born in Johnson County, Missouri then later moved to Henry County with his parents Andrew R. Clark and Hannah Young Owsley. They lived in Calhoun until the Civil War was over and then later moved to Southwest City, Missouri. David and his wife Sarah moved to Afton, Oklahoma where they owned a furniture store. About 1907 they moved to Legansville, New Mexico. He died there and is buried but the gravesite is unkown. His wife, Sarah Comer is buried in Hydro, Oklahoma with their daughter Georgia and her husband Edd Roark.
