FORMER RESIDENT DIES

Sylvester O. Ragland, 79, a former
resident of this community, died
Wednesday, Aug. 9, at Oelwein, Ia.
Mr. Ragland was a retired railroad
postal clerk.
He is survived by three brothers,
A. P. Ragland of Albany, Orville
Ragland of Council Bluffs, Iowa, and
Demus Ragland of St. Joseph; and
one sister, Mrs. Peggy Bedd of
Casper, Wyo.
Funeral services were held Satur-
day afternoon at two o'clock from
the Brooks-Cochell Funeral Home
with the Rev. John Hensel officiat-
ing.
Interment was in Grandview ceme-
tery here.
