Born near Fairfield, Iowa, daughter of Jacob K. and Ann (Bradley) Fore. Came to Gentry County, Missouri from Iowa with her parents in 1855. Married Charles Owen Patton September 30, 1869. They were the parents of three children, all who survived Frances, Mrs. Luella Graham of Albany, MO, Dr. C. L. Patton of Olpe, KS and Mrs. Minnie Alexander of Cabool, MO. She was preceded in death by her husband who died in August 1913 and Amelia S. Holmes, (who was reared by Charles and Frances and married Dr. W. E. Alexander of Bethany), who died August 18, 1918. Frances died at the home of her son, Dr. C. L. Patton in Olpe, Kansas but was buried next to her husband in Grandview West (AKA Highland) Cemetery just outside Albany, MO.
