Hazel Grace VanSickle, 78, of Friendsville, MD, died Thursday, August 10, 2017, at Oakland Nursing and Rehab Center, Oakland, MD.
Born April 28, 1939, in Friendsville, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Flossie (Savage) VanSickle. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Wayne VanSickle.
Hazel was a homemaker and a member of Laurel Run Church of God.
She is survived by one brother, Parley VanSickle and wife, Mary Ann, Friendsville; three nephews, Raymond (Sue) VanSickle, Jonathan VanSickle and Scott Kennedy; four nieces, Diane Coger, Betty Lavern, Lisa Shanahan and Carol Lyman; numerous grand and great-grand nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., 943 Second Ave., Friendsville, on Thursday, August 17, 2017 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted in the funeral home on Friday, August 18, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Craig Bolyard officiating. Interment will be in the Blooming Rose Cemetery.
