Charles Hall married Rebecca Mowery on September 18, 1901 in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania. They were the parents of James A. Hall, Charles Edward Hall and Albertha M. Hall.

His WWI draft registration record in Houston also shows he was born July 29, 1879. He was a moving picture operator at the theater on 1114 Texas Avenue.

After Rebecca's death, Charles Hall married Norma I Lainge on August 4, 1930 in Harris County, Texas. Strangely, he is listed as Silas B. Hall in the 1930 Houston census, which shows he was a widower working as a movie machine operator. He was living with his daughter Albertha McCrae, her husband David N. McCrae, granddaughter Eula Mae McCrae, and his son James A Hall, who was age 28 and single, a department store salesman.

By 1940 Albertha and David Norton McCrae & daughter Eula McCrae were living in Greenwood, Leflore, Mississippi.
