He was born in Letcher County, July 22, 1943, the son of Enis and Kathleen Moore.
He was a heavy equipment operator and of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death four brothers, Ronald, Billy Wayne, Rodney Dean and Raymond.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth Ellen Collier Moore; one son, Charles Monroe Moore of Pikeville; one daughter, Rhonda Johnson of Pikeville; two brothers, Ricky Moore of Tennessee and James Moore of Little Robinson Creek; three grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Monday, Jan. 23, in the Roberts Funeral Home Chapel with Fred Klatka officiating. Burial followed in the Charlie Logan Cemetery, Knott County.
Arrangements were under direction of Roberts Funeral Home of Robinson Creek.
