Gertrude M. McCormack, age 96 of Appleton, passed away on August 11, 2017. Gert was born on November 6, 1920 to the late Henry and Lydia (Reinert) Zellmer in Larsen, Wisconsin. On April 27, 1946 she married Norman McCormack in Lakeland, California and he preceded her in death on May 16, 2005.
Gertrude was a member of the Fleet Auxiliary of the Fleet Reserve.
She will be sadly missed by by sister in law Marion Zellmer, as well as many nieces and nephews, including Susan Vernon, Mary (David) Hale, Barbara Zellmer, Tom (Ruth) Zellmer, Roger Zellmer and Douglas (Janice) Zellmer, special niece Christine (Steve) Weidner and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Norman, brothers Alfred Zellmer and Lewis (Ella) Zellmer.
There will be a visitation for Gert on Saturday, August 19, 2017 from 12:30pm to 1:30pm at Wichmann Funeral Homes, Oneida Street location. There will be a memorial service at the funeral home on Saturday the 19th at 1:30pm. Interment will be at St. Peter Cemetery In Larsen.
