Albert F. Blevins, 81 died Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at his home in Stigler. He was born September 16, 1935 to John and Elsie (Wolverton) Blevins. He grew up in Stigler where he received his education. He was married to Frances Russell on July 9, 1958 and began their life together. Albert worked for Lantz Motor Company for several years in the parts department and later as a supervisor for Perdue Industries in the cabinet shop. He opened Blevins Cabinet Shop and operated it for many years. Albert also worked for Stigler Public Schools as a bus driver for many years until his retirement. He enjoyed traveling and especially loved spending time with his family. He was a longtime member of the First Assembly of God Church.
He is survived by his wife, Frances of the home; three sons, Calvin Blevins and wife Debbie of Stigler, Duane Blevins and wife Denise of Fort Gibson, Randal Blevins of Stigler; 6 grandchildren, April Bond and husband Bobby, Kristin Johnson and husband Nick, Elizabeth Horn and husband Robbie, Shelby James and husband Kyle, Kyle Blevins and wife Heather, Cody Blevins; 20 great grandchildren, Gavin, Samantha, Lincoln, Katelynn, Dakota, Nathan, Chloe, Kenzie, Waylon, Carly, Alexis, Ava, Emily, Makayla, Jordan, Samuel, Purity, Jaymi, and Nolan; one brother, Johnny Blevins and wife Janice of Poteau; one sister, Corlis Smith of Poteau.
Albert is preceded in death by his parents, John and Elsie Blevins; two brothers, John and Norman Blevins; 2 great grandchildren, Logan Blevins and Jonathan Horn.
Funeral Services will be held 10:00 A.M. Saturday, August 12, 2017 at Stigler First Assembly of God Church with Reverend Sherman Dix officiating. Eulogist; Duane Blevins. Pallbearers include Duane Blevins, Kyle Blevins, Robbie Horn, Mike Seabolt, Cody Blevins, Nick Johnson.
Burial will follow immediately at Stigler Cemetery under the direction of King & Shearwood Funeral Home of Stigler.
