"LONG TIME RESIDENT OF OTTUMWA IS DEAD"
Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Klepfer was born May 1, 1860 in Warsaw, ILL; the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Christian Schmitz. She was a member of St. Marys Catholic church. She had lived in Ottumwa most of her life.
Survivors are sons; Lawrence Klepfer of Centerville and Steve Klepfer of Cedar Falls; daughters Mrs. John Sigmund of Keokuk and Mrs. Emma Sigmund, Mrs. Bertha Bissell and Mrs. Wendell of Ottumwa; brothers John and Theodore Schmitz of Hamilton, Illinois; sisters Mrs. Anna Nichols and Mrs. Clara Freeman of Hamilton, Illinois; 14 grand children and 7 great grandchildren. The body is at the Traul funeral chapel.

Services for Mary Elizabeth Klepfer who died Monday at the home of her daughter Mrs. W.I. Wendell of 326 N. McLean street will be held Wed at 8:30 a.m. in the Wendell home and at 9 a.m. in St. Marys Catholic church. Requiem Mass will be celebrated by the Rev Msg J.M. Walsh; V.P. pastor. Burial will be in Calvary cemetery.
Members of the Womens Catholic order of Foresters will say the rosary at the Wendell home. The body is at the Wendell home.
