Obituary of Nancy Ellen Sexton
Nancy Ellen Sexton was born in Mercer County, Mo., Nov. 8, 1872, and passed out of this life, June 24, Being 55 years, 7 months and 16 days of age. She lived in this county until 16 years ago, having moved to St. Joseph, Mo., where she resided until her death.
She was married to Jack Sexton, April, 15, 1890. To this union three children were born, one dying in infancy. Besides her husband she is survived by one son, Leo Sexton, of St. Joseph., a daughter, Estella Hamilton, Mill Grove, stepfather and stepmother, Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Snyder of this city, brother James Snyder, of Ft. Leavenworth, Kas., four sisters, Margaret Morin, Chelsa, Ok., Cindey Towden, Murray, Ia., Mattie Hubgard, Blanche, Mo., Sylvia Moore, of this city. Two stepbrothers, Thurman and Otis Hutchinson of this city, and six grandchildren. She was a member of the Christian Church of this city.
The funeral was held Sunday afternoon at the residence of Carl Gannon of West Main St. and was conducted by the Rev. A. J. Derry after which the remains were conveyed to the Princeton Cemetery and laid to rest.
