"PRINCETON, Mo, Dec. 15 -- Military honors were accorded Sgt. Arthur Allen at his funeral here today at the Martin mortuary. Returned veterans donned their uniforms to attend the service and there was a military burial in the Princeton cemetery. The Rev. V. F. Walker officiated . Sgt. Allen, 29 years old, was killed in an accident near Leon, Iowa, last Monday." St Joseph News-Press (St Joseph, Missouri), December 16, 1945
