Carolyn Jane "CJ" Anderson passed away July 2, 2017 at her residence in Santa Fe, TX.
She was born Carolyn Jane Collins to the late Hailey Homer Collins and Ruth Birch Collins on August 13, 1941 in Dumas, Ark.
Carolyn moved to Galveston in the 1950's and graduated from Ball High in 1959. She lived and worked in Galveston County the rest of her years retiring from the Galveston County Parks Dept. in 2012. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend and will be sadly missed by all of those who knew her.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her son Jeffery Jewell and her brother H.B. "Bo" Collins. She is survived by her sons Clint Jewell and Stephen Jewell both of Santa Fe and by 7 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday Aug. 13th 2017 at the Runge Park Community Center, 4605 Peck Ave. Santa Fe at 2 PM.
A very special Thank You goes out to Kim Blankenship and all of CJ's friends at Santa Fe Plaza Apartments for their love and care during her final days.
The family asks in lieu of flowers that you may make a donation to H.I.S. Ministries or the Thelma Webber Community Center (senior meals) in Santa Fe.
