Rosemary was born on October 5, 1929 in Villa Grove, IL to James Branham and Mary Ann (Gillogy) Long. She married Harry W. Jackson Jr. on November 9, 1946 in Tuscola, IL. He passed away in November 1992.
Also preceding in death are her parents, one daughter, Sharon R. Barnes, one brother, James Long and one sister, Thelma Osterhoff.
Surviving are: one grandson, Michael (Annette) Barnes of Mackinaw, IL and one granddaughter, Angela (Michael) Rupert of Newburgh, IN; three great grandchildren, Tyler Barnes of Decatur, IL, Brittany Bevins of Henderson, KY and Amanda Lewis of Mackinaw, IL; two great great grandchildren, McKinsey and AJ; one sister, Patsy Workman of Bloomington, IL.
Rosemary had lived in Decatur for over 65 years. She was a member of the First Free Will Baptist Church in Decatur and worked at Crane Potato Chip Company for over 13 years. She also was a home health care aid for several years. She enjoyed baking, camping and flowers.
A memorial service for Rosemary will be held at 11:30 AM Monday August 14, 2017 at the First Free Will Baptist Church. Visitation will be from 10:30 AM – 11:30 AM before the service. Inurnment will be at 3:00 PM in Oakridge Cemetery in Camargo, IL. Rosemary’s arrangements have been entrusted to Henderson Funeral Home & Crematory in Pekin, IL.
Memorial contributions may be made to the First Free Will Baptist Church, 2709 N. 27th Street, Decatur, IL 62526.
