William Epp Knight, 80, who moved here (Kilgore, Texas) six years from Price, died Wednesday at Roy H, Laird Memorial Hospital following an illness of 3 1/2 weeks. He was a former postmaster, a capacity in which he served at Prairie Valley, Kaufman County, for 13 years.
Mr Knight was born at Water Valley, Miss. He was a Baptist.
Burial was in the cemetery at Maybank, Kaufman Co, Texas. Mr Knight is survived by his wife, Matilda; three daughters, Mrs C.E. Jay of Rusk, Mrs. R.L. Rushing of Temple, Okla., and Mrs. Jack White of Kilgore; seven grand-children and seven great-grandchildren.
