He was born September 30, 1928 in Fall River, Kansas, the son of Francis and Ona Ruth Brewer Abbiatti.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Harry Lee Abbiatti and Melvin Abbiatti.
Abby retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company after 35 years of dedicated service. Abby was an avid fisherman.
He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Betty Abbiatti; two sons, Mike Abbiatti and his wife Nan of Estes Park, Colorado and Larry Abbiatti and his wife Ginger of Lake Stevens, Washington; a daughter, Patricia Higinbothom and her husband Will of Springdale, Arkansas; a brother, Jackie Lee Abbiatti and his wife, Kay of Carthage, Missouri; two sisters, Lena Stiles and her husband Lee of Carthage, Missouri and Neta Stockton of Carthage, Missouri; seven grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Abby will lie in state 11:00 am- 5:00 pm, Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at Moore’s Chapel. Visitation will be held at 10:00 am, Thursday followed by a funeral service at 11:00 at Moore’s Chapel. Burial will be in Fairview Memorial Gardens in Fayetteville, under the direction of Moore’s Chapel.
