When Charles "Cub" D McCann was born on September 16, 1943, in Uniontown, Pennsylvania, his father, Paul, was 28 and his mother, Rebecca, was 25. He had two brothers and two sisters. He died on November 20, 2003, in Rosedale, Maryland, at the age of 60. Cub suffered from Hereditary Hemorrhagic Telangiectasia (HHT), also known as Osler–Weber–Rendu disease. It is a rare genetic disorder that leads to abnormal blood vessel formation in the skin, mucous membranes, and often in organs such as the lungs, liver, and brain. In his case, he died from a brain aneurysm which caused a stroke. All his organs were shutting down as well as his heart. He had an enlarged heart due to HHT as well as the aneurism.
