Amanda came to Talladega County Alabama as a baby with her parents in 1841. In 1856 the Florence family and others from the area traveled by ox cart to Eastern Texas settling in Smith County. Shortly before their departure Amanda married Seborn D. Willingham, the son of Isaac and Sarah Jones Willingham, on March 6, 1856 in St. Clair County Alabama.
She and Seborn had four children born in Smith County: Elizabeth Frances born June 23, 1857 and died February 16, 1861 and is buried in the Jamestown Cemetery; John Randolph, born October 31, 1859; Sarah Jane (Mrs. Dr. Edward C. Bechtol) born June 5, 1862: Isaac Jones Willingham, born January 5, 1865. Seborn died in 1865 and also is buried at the Jamestown Cemetery.
Moving again to Dallas County Amanda married Louis Wilson January 9, 1870 at Duck Creek. Amanda and Louis had one child, Martha Elizabeth (Mrs. John S. Lawrence), born February 1, 1880. They later settled on land near Mesquite Creek.
Amanda died September 16, 1909 and was buried at the Florence Family Cemetery. She and six others were reinterred in the Florence Family plot in Mesquite Cemetery.
