Tina Marie Hodges, daughter of Hal Richard Bowers and Sherry Shook was born March 8, 1972 in Des Moines, Iowa and passed from this life Sunday, August 7, 2016 at 44 years of age at her home.

Tina received her education in Murray High School graduating in 1990 and later attended AIB in Des Moines studying business. She later attended Hamilton College and received her associate degree in criminal justice.

She worked as a secretary for Fountain West Care Center and then Iowa Public Television for a number of years before she returned to school.

Tina was a lifetime resident of the Murray area and attended the Hopeville United Methodist Church. She enjoyed hunting and fishing with her father in years past before her illness limited her activities. She also enjoyed facebook, mud bogging with John, planting flowers, collecting shoes and online shopping. Her greatest enjoyment was spending time with her family and friends.

Those relatives who preceded Tina in death were her father, Hal Richard Bowers; grandparents, Norman and Betty Bowers, great-grandmother, Millie Bowers, father-in-law, Darrel Woods.

Tina leaves to cherish her memory; fiancé, John Hansen of Murray, IA; daughter, Haley Rae Hodges (James Williams) of Murray, IA; brothers, Charlie (Carrie) Bowers of Hannibal, MO, Rick Bowers of Granbury, TX; sister, Charety Kneedler of Murray, IA; step mother, Mary Bowers of Murray, IA; mother, Sherry and John Shook, Granbury, TX; aunts, Diane (Geoff) Laurenzo of Des Moines, IA, Deb (Austin) Brown of Martensdale, IA, Sherry Fales of Runnells, IA; grandmother, Barb Prenosil of Des Moines, IA; mother-in-law, Barb Woods of St. Charles, IA; sisters-in-law, Dana Hansen of St. Charles, IA, Laura Hansen of Indianola, IA and many children who she considered her "grandchildren", as well as many cousins, great nieces and nephews other relatives and many many friends.
