SNYDER, Esther, of Lyons, died August 4, 2017 at TRU Hospice in Boulder. She was 95.

A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 9 at the Old Stone Congregational Church. Funeral services will follow at the Church at 11:00 a.m.

Interment will be held at Longmont Mountain View Cemetery. Contributions may be made to the Organ Fund, Old Stone Congregational Church.

Esther Snyder of Lyons, died August 4, 2017 at TruHospice Boulder. She was 95.

Esther was born on September 22, 1921 in Owasa, Iowa to Ralph E. Bauerle and Florence Ethel Springer Bauerle.

Esther received her Bachelor’s degree from Olivet University and a Master’s Degree in Music Theory and Composition from Drake University. She married George Snyder on August 30, 1943 in Peoria, Illinois.

Esther was a professional musician playing the organ for Denver First Church of the Nazarene, before playing for the Old Stone Congregational Church, Lyons from 1981 until her death. She also worked at the Colorado State Library in Denver.

Preceding her in death are her parents and her husband.

Surviving are her sister, Ruth Douglas of Lyons, a brother James Bauerle of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and numerous nieces and nephews and many friends through her church family.
