A Graveside services to celebrate the life of Sybil Louise Hand Newton, will be held at 1:00 p.m., Sunday, August 6, 2017, at Centuries Memorial Park with Rev. Don Wilson officiating the service.
Sybil was born on March 3, 1937, in Winnfield, Louisiana to parents, Clifford and Essie Hand, and passed away on August 3, 2017 in Shreveport, Louisiana at the age of 80. She had worked for A.T. & T. in years past as a Molding Operator. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Danny Newton and wife Lyndra of Jonesboro, LA and Tim Newton and wife Susan of Shreveport, LA; granddaughters, Charlene Newton of Shreveport, LA, Deirdre Howard of Jonesboro, LA, and Amanda Kennedy of Jonesville, LA; nine great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
Sybil is preceded in death by her husband, Terry Newton; brothers, Leonard and Bufford Hand; sister, Dorothy Nugent; grandson, Richard Newton; and her parents.
