Otis E. Jones, 88, of Greer went home to be with the Lord on August 4, 2017.
He was born on July 31, 1929 to the late Boyd Jones and Clara Greene Jones. He was a faithful member of the Church of God of Prophecy for 51 years, which he dearly loved and served well.
Surviving are his wife, Jeanette F. Jones; children, Vickie J. Blackwell and husband, Tim of Lyman, Deborah Fortenberry of Wellford; grandchildren, Lauren (R.J.) Vaughn, Matthew (Angela) Blackwell, Shane Fortenberry, and Dewayne (Heather) Fortenberry; sister, Dot Byars; honorary children, Cindy Morrell, Cheryl Turner, and Larry Bowling; honorary granddaughter, Alaina Bowling; and friends that were like family, Jackie and Mary Lou Harris.
Mr. Jones was predeceased by two sisters and five brothers.
Visitation will be held 11:30 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. Monday, August 7, 2017 at Greer Church of God of Prophecy with funeral services to follow at 1:00 p.m., conducted by Dr. Julian Galloway, Bishop Paul Johnson and Rev. Bo Trotter. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memory Gardens.
