BROADHURST, DOROTHY ELIZABETH BAIER Dorothy Broadhurst of San Diego, formerly of Cape Cod, Massachusetts, and Bethesda, Maryland, was born in Washington, D.C., on July 12, 1908, and died on December 25, 2008. She was the oldest of three children born to George and Emma (Heisley) Baier and the wife of Roscoe V. Broadhurst, who preceded her in death in 1985. They were happily married for 67 years. Dorothy lived her life with a strong faith and complete trust in God. When people remember her, they will recall her cheerful manner, willingness to help, incredible knowledge of the craft arts, crocheting, porcelain painting, antiques, her cooking, and above all, her smile. She is survived by her daughter Gloria Osborn (Robert) of San Diego, son Allan Broadhurst of Cape Cod, MA, and daughter Judith Horn (Paul) of Maine. She had 10 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. Private Services will be in Yarmouth Port, Cape Cod, MA, 10:30 a.m. on Friday, January 9, 2009, at Ancient Cemetery.
