She was the widow of Michael W. Abramek.
Evelyn was born in Shenandoah, Pennsylvania on April 13, 1931, daughter of the late Anthony and Hedwiga (Wegrzyn) Maxtutis.
Evelyn worked at Travelers Insurance for many years.
She was an active parishioner of Saints Cyril and Methodius Church and a member of the Hartford Democratic Women's Club.
Evelyn is survived by her daughters, Bernadette "Bunnie" Seymour and her husband Robert of East Hartford, Debra Olints and her husband Russell of South Windsor, and Sheila Cyr and her husband Justyn of Tolland. She also leaves her beloved grandchildren, Michael, Justin, Kevin, Steven, David and Jennifer along with many nieces and nephews.
Evelyn was predeceased by her brothers Leonard, Edward, Billy and Joseph and her sister-in-law, Frances Traskos.
Evelyn's family would like to extend a special thanks to Doreen Brown, her dedicated caretaker, to Dr. Roy Zagieboylo and the Hospice Team from Masonicare of East Hartford.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Saturday, August 5, 2017 at Holy Trinity Church, 53 Capitol Ave., Hartford, CT.
Burial followed in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hartford.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Evelyn's name can be made to Holy Trinity Church.
Funeral Services have been entrusted to D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Boulevard, Wethersfield, CT 06109.
