LEONARD, Channie A., 95 of Salem, passed away Tuesday. She was a librarian for Roanoke County for 25 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, James A. Leonard Sr. and son, Charles E. Leonard and is survived by one son, James A. Leonard Jr. of Carefree, Ariz.; also surviving are four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one great-great granddaughter. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, September 24, 1999 at 11 a.m. at John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home in Salem with the Rev. Billy White officiating. Friends may call at John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday. Interment at Sherwood Memorial Park.
